Kaoru Clinic

Kaoru Clinic

This client had plans to relocate into a medical mall a few minutes walk from its existing clinic. Careful research went into the creation of a design that would maintain design consistency with the existing clinic, accommodate all the existing equipment and minimize construction times.

The outcome was based on considerations of both the aesthetic and medical aspects of the cosmetic surgery industry, in order to create not only an image of brightness and cleanliness, but also a relaxed atmosphere.

The interior was planned as rationally as possible, with flow lines for patients and staff kept separate. In order to respect the privacy of patients, consultation rooms are kept as small as possible, but have narrow horizontal openings at the top of the walls so as to avoid any sense of claustrophobia. These also allow the staff to gauge and respond to what is going on in the consultation rooms.

The waiting areas and vanity areas were designed as bright spaces with natural light that can be used as areas for a short respite before or after consultations.
